Job Descriptions:

To ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services necessary for TSEDSO’s operations, while maintaining compliance with organizational, donor policies and standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
  • Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders and contracts in line with project procurement needs and organizational guidelines.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and forecast procurement requirements to avoid shortages or delays.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, documentation, and vendor databases.
  • Collaborate with program and operations teams to understand and respond to purchasing requirements in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay informed of pricing, availability, and industry trends.
  • Ensure full compliance with TSEDSO procurement policies, donor regulations, and relevant national laws.
  • Address and resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery delays, or quality of goods/services.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure reliability and accountability.
  • Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, costs, and budget utilization for management review.
  • Support budget planning by providing cost analysis and procurement forecasts.
  • Perform any other procurement-related tasks assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
