Our mission is to provide education and social development services (including women empowerment, economic wellbeing, children, youths’ rights and peace) for under served and most marginalized, fragile and conflict affected communities through partnership, global humanitarian assistance and humanitarian development nexus.

Job Descriptions:

Community Mobilizer is responsible for implementing the project activities in the field through teachers & students’ selection based on the set criteria for ASTA. She will monitor/supervise the teachers and the teaching quality. Support Master trainer to conduct the training, coaching session and conduct regular supervision visits from the centers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out the survey for the selection of ASTA location, ASTA house, students for ASTA.
  • Conduct mapping for the targeted area and identify ASTA locations.
  • Take steps to establish/open ASTA according to its operation guideline.
  • Supervise the ASTA regularly, ensuring students and teacher attendance and supporting teachers to ensure quality education and class management.
  • Provide necessary logistics to the teachers for smooth operation of the centers.
  • Carry out community mobilization and meetings to establish ASTA in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Make close coordination with master trainer and provincial coordinator and ensure the IT equipment are functioning properly.
  • Make close coordination with master trainers for implementation of training.
  • Organizing meeting with parents and government officials and relevant community members in need.
  • Contact with community group for irregular/absent students.
  • Identify all necessary tasks to be completed up to opening of ASTA Centers.
  • Develops and assist ASTA teachers to conduct the evaluation for students.
  • Check the daily lesson plan, student and teacher’s attendance, and daily lesson progress plan.
  • Prepare all the list of materials according to the needs of each and every center and in coordination with provincial coordinator distribute the materials to the teachers.
  • Provide monthly and weekly plan and report to the provincial coordinator.
  • Ensure community involvement in the project implementation by arranging and conducting community meeting for running the project smoothly.
  • Solve the social related problems to ASTA operation in consultation with PC and the concern authority.
  • Prepare necessary report according to the requirements of the project.
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the program by implementing the safeguarding policy.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure education stakeholders are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachalor, Master Preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in relevant works/position is expected
  • Good communication skills particularly in local language (Dari/Pashtu)
  • Speaking and writing ability in English is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of education system in Afghanistan
  • Computer knowledge
