Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is an Afghan non-profit non-governmental organization working for the development of Afghanistan mainly through (1) provision of quality health services; (2) community development; (3) training and capacity building at professional and community levels; and (4) research in topics of public health and social sciences besides various projects in different parts of Afghanistan.
Core Accounting & Documentation
Record financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
Generate and process payment vouchers with complete supporting documentation.
Maintain organized hard copies of all financial records, including receipts, invoices, and approvals.
Prepare and update journals and ledgers, ensuring entries are properly classified and reconciled.
Verify that all transactions are authorized and documented before entry.
Financial Data Preparation
Compile financial data for monthly and quarterly reporting.
Assist in account reconciliations and flag inconsistencies to the SFO.
Support tracking of ineligible or disallowed costs by maintaining clear records.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data prior to SFO review.
Cash & Bank Management
Maintain daily records of cash and bank transactions.
Reconcile cash books and bank books, confirming that all payments are executed and circled by the cashier.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of bank deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
Compliance & Filing
Ensure transactions comply with internal policies and donor requirements.
Organize and archive financial documents securely and systematically.
Prepare and submit documentation for internal and external audits as directed by the SFO.
Coordination & Support
Communicate regularly with field offices to collect monthly financial reports and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with Logistic, HR and admin teams to clarify transaction details and gather missing records.
Support the SFO in Budget vs Actual (BvA) tracking by providing accurate transaction data and documentation.
Respond to routine financial queries and escalate complex issues to the SFO.
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor’s in business administration from a recognized university (BBA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Computer skill is essential and must.
Fluent in local languages and strong interpersonal skills in English.
At least five years of experience working with preferably international NGOs
Ability to work alongside others under stressful conditions in conflict-prone situations
