Bakhter Development Network (BDN) was established and registered in 2001 with the Ministry of Economics in Afghanistan as an Afghan, non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization. BDN operates in line with its constitution in three sectors: education, health, and agriculture and livestock. Currently, BDN is involved in implementing different health projects across multiple provinces of Afghanistan, such as BPHS-EPHS projects in Balkh, Maidan Wardak, and Kapisa provinces, as well as other vertical projects like CBNI, TSFP, PHNS, PHC-WHO, GC7, and RMNCAH/SRH and PSS services in provinces such as Balkh, Badakhshan, Faryab, Sar-e-Pol, Jawzjan, Samangan, Takhar, Kapisa, and Maidan Wardak.

The CBNP Master Trainer will manage and implement CBNP Follow-up for CBNP, WIFS, and MNP projects in the province, with a special focus on community interventions. Furthermore, she/he is responsible for generating monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and project reports on project activity.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support initiating the implementation follow-up phase of the community-based nutrition program (CBNP), WIFS, and MNP throughout the Kunduz province in close coordination and collaboration with UNICEF nutrition extenders, the provincial nutrition officer, and the community-based health care (CBHC) officer.
• Involve respective communities and local authorities in community-based nutrition programs, ensuring their understanding of the program concept and their engagement in identifying community volunteers, considering the criteria set.
• Responsible for the preparation of training in conjunction with the Nutrition program coordinator, provincial CBNP project manager, and logistics officer, ensuring proper training venue and having facilitator kits and other job aids papered for delivery to training sites
• Organize and conduct three days of training for nutrition mobilization teams (NMTs) at the district centers to enable them to conduct community mobilization sessions at the village level.
• Provide technical support and oversee nutrition mobilization members during community mobilization sessions.
• Be actively involved in conducting WIFS and MNP campaigns in Kunduz province.
• Conduct post-training follow-up visits to health posts to assess the knowledge, skills, and confidence of the health workers.
• Supervise the Community Health Workers (CHWs) on a regular basis or follow the CBNP implementation.
• Be prepared to travel to remote areas. The CBNP Supervisor/Master Trainers will spend approximately 80% of their working time in the field. 

• Having a diploma in the medical field (MD, nurse midwives, etc.) or a related field from an accredited college/university.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience.
• Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills;
• Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations in the districts
• Fluency in written and spoken local language;
• Prior experience working with the community.
