HI has been supporting the Afghan people since 1987, starting its operations in Pakistan. While present on the ground to directly support victims of the conflict through the provision of a range of services – from physical rehabilitation, to mine risk education and inclusive livelihoods – HI has been continuously advocating to increase the rights of victims and other people with disabilities in the country. In particular, and in line with its global strategy and priorities, HI has been advocating to reduce the use of landmines and conventional weapons. Job Purpose:
The Senior P&O Technical Supervisor in Kabul WAK PRC is responsible for supervising P&O and mobility devices service provision in Afghanistan under the technical guidance of the P&O Technical Officer, Technical unit, Kabul. This role focuses on capacity building of local staff, quality assurance of services, and the coordination of prosthetics and orthotics operations in Kabul WAK PRC. The role is pivotal in ensuring efficient functioning of the workshop team, optimal use of resources, and compliance with HI’s quality standards, policies, and best practices to benefits the community in need.
