Across our 10 branches, we host tens of thousands of students! Within our 250 classrooms, MELI offers up to 240 new classes in a single week under the supervision of hundreds of English language specialists.

JOB SUMMARY 

The Fluency Checker at the Muslim English Language Institute (MELI) is responsible to assess and evaluate the English fluency of students in the Visions and Talk & Talk classes on a daily basis. The English Fluency Checker will review voice recordings of students and mark students based on their fluency levels. This position requires a high level of listening skills and proficiency in the English language.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily English fluency checks for students in the Visions and Talk & Talk classes.
• Evaluate the fluency of Vision 1 students up to Vision 11 students by listening to their voice recordings.
• Evaluate the fluency of students during placement tests by listening to their voice recordings.
• Assess the fluency of second chance students by reviewing their voice recordings.
• Mark students based on their English fluency levels and record their marks in related documents.
• Adherence to MELI policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and productive working experience.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Academic Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in related field with Diploma in English language or Bachelor’s degree in English Literature.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in English Language Teaching, preferably in an educational or language institute setting.

• Proficiency in the English Language.
• Excellent listening skills to accurately assess students' fluency.
• Working with headphone, and voice recorder for evaluating voice recordings.
• Possess qualities of humility, maturity, respectfulness, honesty, and integrity.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Have command of both National Languages (Dari & Pashto)
