About Help The Afghan Children:

Help the Afghan Children (HTAC), is a non-profit, non-governmental organization was established in 1993 in response to the horrible conditions of Afghan families she witnessed during Afghanistan’s civil war.  HTAC is registered with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Economics as a national non-governmental organization.  HTAC is also member of ACBAR coordination body in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

  • Social Worker is responsible for organizing, motivating and mobilizing target beneficiaries in support of all activities planned under Save the Children’s Sida and HF integrate project for improvement of STW ( streat working children) through livelihood, education, WASH and child protection interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate Kashana daily base and sharing the monitoring report with relevant officer
  • Conducting child protection training, livelihood training to the beneficiaries
  • Conduction of beneficiary assessment in the targeted locations to identify right beneficiaries according to the project criterial
  • Regular monitoring from the IGA beneficiaries and assist them to in business development, record keeping, tracking expense and profit and linking to the market.
  • Facilitate any internal and external beneficiary visit.
  • Conduction of onjob training for IGA beneficiaries for soft skill training
  • Keeping an eye to the project beneficiaries to have a safe program and avoid any harm to the children
  • Providing guidance to beneficiaries for utilizing their income effectively to avoid taking any negative coping mechanisms
  • Assisting CP staff by safe identification of child protection cases
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinator, project officers, CP officer and MEAL staff to design successful Social Mobilizer strategy.
  • In support from other project staff, support project location and project beneficiaries targeting strategy and criteria.
  • Lead community-based mobilization and sensitization meetings and with support from other project staff introduce the project activities to respective community members and project beneficiaries.
  • Take part in the process of beneficiary identification and registration.
  • Support in establishment of Safe Kashana.
  • Support the child protection staff in case management under the child protection component of the project.
  • Support implementation of project baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation.
  • Develop project weekly narrative reports and submit them to Project Coordinator timely.
  • Assist joint monitoring visits with the government officials (Provincial/district relevant authorities) to the project sites.
  • Support Save the Children’s MEAL staff in establishing quality project documentation and filing system.

Job Requirements:

  • At least B.A from a recognized university.
  • Strong English fluency in writing and speaking
  • Two years’ experience working in Finance section.
  • Proven Computer skills in Word, Excel and other MS Office software
  • Proven Administration skills
  • Ability to travel within project coverage districts & other provinces as needed
