Job Description :

Medical Supervision

• Accompany medical team of RMNCAH, OPD, Vaccination and Pharmacy departments in their daily activities
• Supervise the health team in link with the Hospital’s Director
• Carry out medical activities is staff overloaded
• Ensure MdM procedures are correctly implemented
• Make the link with the referral structures in case of life saving emergencies and ensure the follow-up of the patients referred
• Advising, arbitrating, and supporting measures to be taken in the event of difficulties, malfunctions and/or incidents

Quality of practices

• Ensure good medical practice, according to the national medical guidelines and MdM standards
• Ensure IPC measures are respected
• Ensure privacy and non-discrimination approach are commonly adopted
• Realize a continue need assessment either for the equipment/tools or for the capacity building of the staff
• Implement on-the-job training according to the needs identified and expressed by health workers
• Provide support to the health facility staff to ensure a good coordination among them to enhance quality of the services
• Ensure that the health facility staff is fully conversant with data collection tools and perform the training as needed

Coordination

• Coordinate project progress in each step with the Base Manager, Hospital’s director and other concerned team members
• Provide relevant feedback and recommendations based on direct observations
• Keep community involved in the project implementation and about its progress
• Keep close coordination with the other partners in the province for any decision on the HF level.
• Planning and organizing regular meetings with the HFs staff for feedback to the staff and their instruction in the required areas.
• Report any issue or difficulties on activity implementation

Monitoring and Reporting

• Collect data, participate in data analysis, and monitor indicators
• Draft activity reports

• Medical Doctor with at least a 2-year experience in team supervision
• Experience in RMNCAH, Vaccination, OPD, Pharmacy activities
• Master standard medical protocols in the relevant field of activity
• Plan and quantify activities
• Adapt planning to unforeseen events
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Write professional reports, collect, and analyze data, organize, classify, and communicate information
• Identify training needs, create, and lead training modules
• Understand the general principles of pharmacy management
• Adapt communication to the audience
• Know how to approach a cultural and social context. Identify and understand a society’s norms, customs, and practices
• Be diplomatic and flexible, for supervision of person without hierarchical link
• Excellent knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto
• Use the Microsoft Office Pack
• Preference will be given to candidates who are local residents of Nimruz
