Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose

The Full Stack Web Developer will be responsible to design, develop, and maintain web applications for the Faculty and Faculty Software House. The role supports academic, administrative, and commercial projects by delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with faculty members and student teams.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

  1. Develop Faculty Projects: Design, develop, and implement web-based projects required by the Faculty and Faculty Software House in accordance with academic and industry standards.
  2. Student Training & Mentorship: Guide and train students in full stack web development, including front-end, back-end, and best development practices.
  3. Project Deployment & Hosting: Deploy, configure, and host faculty and student projects on servers, cloud platforms, or university infrastructure.
  4. Project Maintenance: Regularly maintain, update, and optimize existing projects to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for faculty and student projects when issues arise.
  6. Code Quality & Documentation: Ensure clean, well-documented, and reusable code for long-term project sustainability.
  7. Collaboration with Faculty: Work closely with faculty members to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with academic goals.
  8. Ensure full compliance with university policies, data protection regulations, intellectual property rights, and ethical standards in all web development and data management activities.
  9. Provide technical support, guidance, and basic training to designated faculty and administrative staff on the use and management of web platforms and related systems.
  10. Perform regular backups, system updates, and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  11. Stay updated with emerging web technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions that enhance the digital presence and operational efficiency of the faculty.
  12. Carry out any other web development–related tasks assigned by the faculty leadership or university administration within the scope of the position.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master Degree will be considered an advantage and will be preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development.
 

Technical Skills and Competencies

  1. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  2. Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  3. Strong knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Laravel, Node.js, or Python).
  4. Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
  5. Understanding of RESTful APIs and system integration.
  6. Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
  7. Experience with version control systems (Git).
  8. Hosting web applications.
