Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Surgeon is responsible for performing surgical procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities. The role includes pre-operative diagnosis, conducting operations, and providing post-operative care and treatment.  And also supervises the 11 HFs in Ghor that have surgery activities on monthly basis. If one of the HFs surgeons is not present at the HFs, backup surgeon will work as his replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of HFs surgical section on monthly basis.
  • Reporting and analyzing monthly performance data of Surgical sections.
  • Perform as Back up surgeon at any HFs with vacant surgeon.
  • Examine patients and make diagnoses to determine the need for surgery. 
  • Perform surgical procedures following established medical protocols. 
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical patients. 
  • Work with other medical professionals to manage patient care. 
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care and surgical procedures. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical techniques and technologies. 
  • Comply with infection control and safety protocols. 
  • Train and supervise junior staff or surgical interns, if needed.

Job Requirements

  • Certified Specialization in surgery. 
  • Medical Degree (MD or MBBS)
  • Valid medical license and board certification in surgery. 
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of surgical experience. 
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong communication skills;
  • Good English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills
  • Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, design and presentations
