Job Summary

The English Language Instructor is responsible for delivering and preparing high-quality English instruction and curriculum to students at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. The Instructor will support students’ language development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and may also assist with translation tasks between English, Pashto, and Dari when required.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Design and develop English language curricula for different proficiency levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced).
• Ensure curricula align with international English standards (e.g., CEFR) and local education requirements.
• Expert in English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
• Review and update existing curricula to improve quality and effectiveness.
• Integrate communicative, interactive, and learner-centered teaching approaches.
• Prepare and develop curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials according to students’ needs.
• Should have previous experience in English language curriculum development and be able to develop new curriculum.
• Translate English lessons, documents, and learning materials into Pashto and Dari accurately and grammatically.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress through exams, assignments, and classroom activities.
• Provide feedback and academic support to students.
• Create a positive, disciplined, and student-centered learning environment.
• Use computer programs and digital tools for teaching, reporting, and communication.
• Participate in academic meetings, training sessions, and institutional activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in curriculum development or English language teaching.
• Strong knowledge of ESL/EFL methodologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Strong understanding of basic to advanced English language Grammer.
• Ability to understand English thoroughly and translate accurately into Pashto and Dari.
• Previous experience working as a translator in a university, school, or organization (preferred).
• Prior experience as an English language instructor at an English language center or educational institution.
• Good knowledge of computer programs (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and online teaching tools).
• Ability to design assessments and evaluation tools.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and child-friendly approaches.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching or translation certifications (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA,TOEFL, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching ESL/EFL learners.
