Job Descriptions:

The Provincial Coordinator will provide overall leadership and coordination of OSSHD projects at the provincial level, ensuring timely, high-quality implementation in line with organizational strategies, donor requirements, and humanitarian principles.

  1. Program implementation, Coordination & Management
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of all OSSHD projects within the assigned province.
  • Lead the development of base-level work-plans, allocating staff and resources in an efficient and effective way, and follow-up with all the teams to ensure all activities implemented are on track;
  • Ensure project activities are implemented according to approved work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new strategies and activities to enhance program delivery in line with the identified needs of the beneficiaries;
  • Provide regular written reports and contribute to the preparation of status and progress reports, as required.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the impact of interventions and remaining needs, including collecting and analyzing data that could support an analysis of project outcomes and program development objectives at field level.
  • Ensure compliance at base level with OSSHD standards and SOPs, respecting the implementation of any technical or operational recommendation in a timely manner.
  • Use the tools and terminology of project cycle management to communicate project activities and objectives to the field team.
  • Supervise field staff, including Project Officers, WASH staff, and community-based teams.
  • Provide technical and operational support to field teams.
  1. Representation & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Represent OSSHD at provincial-level coordination meetings, clusters, and forums.
  • Liaise with provincial authorities, line departments, UN agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
  • Strengthen coordination and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
  1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Monitor project progress against targets and indicators.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of weekly, monthly, and donor reports.
  • Support assessments, baseline surveys, monitoring visits, and evaluations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and data quality at the provincial level.
    1. Financial & Administrative Oversight
  • Support budget monitoring and proper use of project resources.
  • Ensure compliance with OSSHD policies, donor regulations, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate procurement, logistics, and asset management at the provincial level.
    1. Security & Compliance
  • Monitor security conditions and ensure staff adhere to OSSHD security protocols.
  • Promote adherence to safeguarding, PSEA, and code of conduct policies.

Report incidents, risks, and challenges to the Country Office or senior management

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hygiene promotion or community-based WASH programming.
  • Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in local language(s); basic English is an asset. Be able to travel to other sites for support when assigned by the direct line manager
