The company operates through its regional offices located in Kabul, Jalalabad, Kandahar, and Mazar-e-Sharif, with the capacity to establish additional offices in other provinces as required by project needs.

Hask Engineering Services & Builders was established in 2007 and initially commenced its operations as a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory. Over time, the company expanded its scope of services to include Project Survey and Design, Construction Works, Engineering Studies, and Professional Training Programs, responding to the growing needs of the engineering and construction sector in Afghanistan.

In addition to its technical services, Hask takes pride in publishing “The Civil Engineer”, the first technical and engineering magazine in Pashto and Dari in Afghanistan, contributing to knowledge sharing and professional development within the engineering community.

The Civil/Transportation Geometric Design Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and reviewing roadway and transportation infrastructure geometry. This includes horizontal and vertical alignments, intersections, station access, and related civil structures. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant designs that meet engineering standards and project requirements, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams throughout design and construction.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 4–8 years of experience in geometric design of roads, highways, or transportation facilities.
• Strong knowledge of horizontal and vertical alignment design, cross‑sections, and geometric standards.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX Road, or similar.
• Familiarity with international and local transportation design codes and guidelines (AASHTO, IRC, etc.).
• Ability to prepare design drawings, models, and technical reports.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordination with engineers, planners, and contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Develop geometric designs for roads, highways, intersections, and related transportation facilities.
• Prepare horizontal and vertical alignments, cross‑sections, and station layouts.
• Review and validate design calculations, drawings, and models for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, and traffic engineering teams to integrate design solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction, including resolving design‑related issues.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and design packages for approvals and handover.
