Site Engineer – WASH Latrine for Schools.

Ali Baba Construction Company is a growing construction firm committed to delivering quality infrastructure and development projects across Afghanistan. The company is currently implementing a WASH latrine construction project for schools in Samangan Province. and is seeking a qualified and motivated site engineer to supervise and support the successful implementation of the project.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising the construction of school latrines, ensuring that all works are implemented according to approved designs, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily construction activities of school WASH latrine facilities.
• Ensure construction works follow approved drawings, designs, and specifications.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports.
• Coordinate with the project manager and technical team.
• Assist in site measurements and documentation of completed works.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained at the site.
• Communicate with school representatives and local stakeholders when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in WASH or sanitation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to work in field conditions.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Be able to operate survey instruments such as level machines, total stations, and other surveying tools.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Pashto or Dari; basic English knowledge is preferred.
