Aviation Security Officer

GAAC Holding Afghanistan is a subsidiary company of GAAC Holding SPV LTD, a UAE based company of global best in class partners with specialist in airport management and extensive experience working in emerging markets. With circa 1,000 employees in Afghanistan, GAAC provides ground handling and aviation security services in different international airports, including Kabul, Heart, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif.

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Conduct searches of personnel, baggage, aircraft, vehicles, catering supplies, personal items and buildings within training constraints to a standard sufficient to ensure that no prohibited articles, weapons and explosives are present.
• Ensure that all searches are conducted in accordance with international standards and company policies.
• Ensure that all equipment required to conduct their duties efficiently within the work environment is in good functional condition and that all safety and compliance checks are carried out and reported to the Supervisor.
• Ensure that any and all daily administration tasks are completed.
• Report any issues that may occur to the Supervisor.
• Maintain constant vigilance and behavioral analysis of all persons in and around the airport and all work environments.

• Ensure personal safety, as well as the safety of colleagues and the public, by following regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Promptly report accidents, occupational injuries, and environmental impacts in accordance with approved procedures.
• Perform any additional tasks that may arise from time to time to meet operational and organizational requirements.

Educational Qualification:

• Graduated from High School or equivalent and above

Professional Certifications:

• Aviation Security Officer Course

Experience:

• Fresh Graduate

Other Requirements:

• Demonstrate retention of training delivery of Aviation Security and relevant processes.
• Sound problem solving skills.
• Basic administrative skills to complete documentation necessary for the post.
• Required computer Skills for this position.
• Good customer service skills.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to maintain security and vigilance standards whilst being required to work in areas with the added responsibility of static guarding position being manned.
• Good time keeping, attendance and appearance standards.
• Be able to deal with challenges to company practices in a calm and professional manner without reacting in a negative way.
• Be able to deal with unexpected events in calm manner that prioritizes the health and safety of all persons.

Language skills: Good in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
