ARWEO is a nonprofit organization with a visionary focus on the rehabilitation and protection of vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. ARWEO has a strategic goal of assisting the lifesaving and immediate needs of the marginalized population including IDPs, refugees, and host communities in eastern, central, and northern regions. ARWEO has a history of 21 years implemented 86 projects with 65% of projects in education, protection, food security, nutrition, and livelihoods. ARWEO is dedicated to transforming the lives of marginalized children including boys and girls, particularly those with immediate education, protection, and humanitarian needs, and those belonging to IDP, refugee, and host communities in the affected provinces of Afghanistan.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development and Delivery:
- Design and develop training modules and materials tailored to the needs of community educators and teachers.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on effective teaching methodologies, classroom management, and curriculum implementation.
- Improve learning and retention through teacher capacity and learning support.
- strengthens classroom quality through teacher training on pedagogy and BLP.
- Utilize participatory training techniques to engage educators and enhance their learning experience.
- Administer pre-tests and post-tests before and after training sessions, ensuring thorough documentation of the training and recording of percentages in Excel sheets.
- Distribute relevant training materials to participants and facilitate group work to enhance training delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinate and communicate efficiently with targeted district PEDs, SMCs, and Community leaders to ensure timely and effective training. Promote participation, diversity, inclusion, and teamwork during the sessions.
Capacity Building:
- Assess the training needs of educators and provide ongoing support and mentorship.
- Facilitate peer-to-peer learning and collaboration among educators to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
Curriculum Support:
- Assist in the adaptation and implementation of the Afghanistan national curriculum within the Formal Education framework.
- Provide guidance on the use of educational resources and materials to enhance teaching and learning.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Collect data on training outcomes and participant feedback to assess the impact of training programs.
- Prepare regular reports on training activities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the MEAL Officer to ensure that training data is integrated into the overall project monitoring framework.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with community leaders and parents to promote the importance of education and support for the FE initiative.
- Organize community awareness sessions to highlight the benefits of quality education and encourage community involvement.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of [3Years] of experience in teacher training, education, or community development, preferably in the Afghanistan.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs for educators.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of educational methodologies and curriculum development.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, community members, and local authorities.
- Proficiency in local languages (Dari, Uzbaki and Pashto) is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- The Master Trainer will be based in Faryab with frequent travel to project sites within the province.
- The position may require working outside of regular hours to accommodate training schedules
Protection From Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Commitment:

- Undergoing PSEA training
- Signing a self-declaration form
