Job Description

Scope of Work: The cleaner for the Therapeutic Feeding Unit (TFU) will maintain a clean, hygienic environment to support safe care and feeding activities. They will clean and disinfect floors, toilets, door handles, and high-touch areas according to TFU cleaning schedules and infection-control procedures. The cleaner will properly manage waste disposal, laundry, and cleaning materials, ensuring they are stored safely. Any spills, maintenance needs, or hygiene risks will be reported to the supervisor immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Cook will work under the supervision of the Log Admin Assistant and/or the TFU line supervisor.
• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for up to ten (10) TFU patients and their care givers according to MdM food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure that all food is prepared using approved ingredients, safe cooking methods, and proper portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking area, utensils, tables, and food serving materials.
• Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients (covered, labeled, correct temperature where applicable) and safe handling practices.
• Prepare meals according to the TFU meal schedule and coordinate with TFU staff for meal timing and patient/caregiver feeding.
• Ensure safe water and ingredient use for cooking (washing, cleaning, and preparation steps as required).
• Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces and equipment after each cooking session.
• Manage leftovers safely (if allowed by TFU procedure), prevent spoilage, and avoid food contamination.
• Support distribution of food to patients/care givers in an organized and hygienic manner.
• Track and request cooking ingredients and kitchen supplies; update inventory/needs for food items to be purchased.
• Ensure the correct use and storage of cooking oil, detergents, and cleaning materials.
• Report all important issues related to food or kitchen operations (shortage, spoilage, damages, accidents, incidents, etc.) to the line supervisor immediately.
• Provide support to the TFU team as requested (e.g., helping with serving support, basic kitchen support, or additional tasks assigned by direct supervisor).
• The job description may be modified at any time according to changes in MdM activities, with prior notice and agreement between both parties. On demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks may be added to the present list.

Job Requirements
