Media & Documentation Officer (Call for CVs)

Vision Development Organization (VDO), founded in 2015 by Afghan women leaders, is a national, women-led NGO dedicated to advancing the dignity, resilience, and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities. Despite Afghanistan’s complex humanitarian and governance challenges, VDO has grown into a trusted, principled, and adaptive organization, delivering programs in protection, education, livelihoods, social inclusion, and community development across multiple provinces. Anchored in integrity, accountability, and operational excellence, VDO upholds strong governance, safeguarding, and compliance standards while championing women’s leadership and equitable, high-quality service delivery.

• Lead collection, recording, organization, and documentation of field materials including photos, videos, interviews, case studies, activity records, and beneficiary stories for organizational visibility and donor reporting.
• Conduct field visits to document project implementation, distributions, trainings, infrastructure works, community activities, and humanitarian responses.
• Produce high-quality photography, video recordings, testimonials, captions, and visual storytelling materials for websites, reports, campaigns, and social media platforms.
• Maintain organized digital archives of photos, videos, media files, and field documentation.
• Ensure informed consent, safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical representation of beneficiaries during documentation activities.
• Support preparation of multimedia products, presentations, visibility packages, and communication campaigns.
• Coordinate with communication teams and program staff to ensure timely collection and sharing of field materials.
• Assist with editing, formatting, and organizing visual content for publications and donor visibility purposes.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media, Journalism, Photography, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in media documentation, photography, videography, or digital storytelling.
• Strong photography and video editing skills.
• Proficiency in multimedia editing software preferred.
• Ability to travel frequently to field locations.
• English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.

Vision Development Organization (VDO) is accepting CVs and applications from qualified candidates from 13 June 2026 to 27 June 2026 to establish a candidate roster (database) for future employment opportunities.
