Afghanistan Development & Assistance Organization (ADAO) is a national NGO registered under the Ministry of Economy which is established 17 years ago (founded in 2006) by a group of young and professional Afghans to work on the development of Agriculture, sustainable livelihoods opportunities to support most vulnerable communities both urban and rural areas consequently will have access to better education, primary health care, good governance, and eventually improved sustainable community development in Afghanistan.

Job Description

The Program and Grants Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities and grant management processes. She ensures compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies, supports proposal development and donor reporting, maintains project documentation, and coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely achievement of project ob

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  2. At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in program management, grants management, or donor-funded projects, preferably in an NGO environment.
  3. Strong understanding of project cycle management, donor regulations, and compliance requirements.
  4. Proven experience in preparing high-quality project proposals, concept notes, and donor reports.
  5. Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills in English and local languages.
  6. Strong coordination, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities with different departments and external stakeholders.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to manage data effectively.
  8. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  9. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
  10. High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to donor compliance and transparency.
