Afghanistan Development National Organization (ADNO) is a non-government, nonpolitical and non-profit organization its main area of work is community development including training/Capacity Building, advocacy and civil society, support to formal and non-formal education, emergency and income generation through implementing various skill trainings with participatory approaches ADNO  was Founded 2009 in Afghanistan, in General ADNO working with Afghan Society to improve their Development Skills. And Endeavoring for a peaceful, developed, and prosperous Afghanistan and the world where all vulnerable populations have equal rights, access to essential resources, and a life free from discrimination, poverty and violence.

Job Descriptions:

Roles and Main Responsibilities:

  • The District Social Worker will work closely with Child-Friendly Space (CFS) facilitators and other women and girls attending the CFS. They will support the facilitators, build their capacity, and ensure that CFS activities are implemented according to the project plan. Typical duties include:
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to improve access for children in conflict with the law to child-friendly juvenile justice systems and promote alternatives to detention as outlined in the Letter of Agreement.
  • Support social workers in assessing children and their families and managing their cases. This includes providing guidance and assistance to ensure thorough and accurate assessments.
  • Assist social workers in preparing reports. This involves compiling data, analysing findings, and presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collect data and information as requested by the Project Manager. Ensure that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and properly documented.
  • Prepare and complete Social Inquiry Reports from the district centre. This includes gathering necessary information, conducting interviews, and compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Develop care plans that include strategies for reintegrating children with their families and communities. Ensure that these plans are tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Facilitate the reintegration of children with their families and communities. Respond to child protection issues promptly and effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
  • Support social workers in developing care plans that include strategies for reintegrating children with their families and communities. Provide guidance and assistance to ensure these plans are effective and comprehensive.
  • Maintain communication between staff and district-level community workers to ensure ongoing contact between children and their families. Support the reintegration process by facilitating communication and coordination.
  • Keep detailed records of any visits, phone calls, or emails received from social workers and community workers requesting support. Ensure that all interactions are documented accurately.
  • Attend monthly meetings and any additional meetings arranged by the Project Manager. Participate actively in discussions and provide updates on activities and progress.
  • Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the monthly activity plan and align with the project objectives. Plan and implement on-the-job training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Keep records of support sessions and evaluate their effectiveness. Use this information to improve future training and support activities.
  • Prepare a monthly plan of activities that outlines the tasks and objectives for the following month. Submit this plan to the Project Manager in the last week of each month.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out according to the monthly activity plan and in line with the project objectives. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Submit a brief report to the Project Manager in the last week of each month. This report should summarize activities, achievements, and any challenges encountered.

1.ST/SGB/2003/13 United Nations Secretary-General’s Bulletin and Special measures for protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)

 

  • In the light of different reports and the statement of UN Secretary General regarding PSEA and in order to take prevention measures, ADNO strictly applies the PSEA guidance and policy to all of its staff, daily wagers, contractors, consultants, volunteers, vendors, beneficiary, etc. All ADNO associates are advised to avoid any kind of sexual exploitation (SEA) and abuse of any kind while working together with ADNO. Involvement in any form of SEA and violation of any set guideline in relation to SEA is prohibited.
  • ADNO shall track and get information on involvement in SEA or corruption about the candidates who apply to ADNO and ADNO adopts zero tolerance policy on SEA and corruptions.
  • As a humanitarian agency, ADNO strictly adheres to humanitarian Data Sharing Protocol (DSP) applied in Afghanistan. The sharing of data of any type of anyone associated to ADNO (Beneficiary detail, survey, assessment, reports, internal matters, confidential documents, etc. is prohibited and will require senior management approval to make sure the sharing is in line with Do NO HARM principles, DSP and ADNO data sharing policy

Data sharing

  • As a humanitarian agency, ADNO strictly adheres to humanitarian Data Sharing Protocol (DSP) applied in Afghanistan. The sharing of data of any type of anyone associated to ADNO (Beneficiary detail, survey, assessment, reports, internal matters, confidential documents, etc. is prohibited and will require senior management approval to make sure the sharing is in line with Do NO HARM principles, DSP and ADNO data sharing policy

 Media participation

  • No ADNO staff can participate in any media talks, interviews, debates, information sharing in social media or in any other media. No staff can represent any ADNO activities at any media platforms without ADNO management permission

Job Requirements:

  • High school education, but a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in related position.
  • Experience in working closely with Team Members.
  • Good interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships.
