Relief Humanitarian and Development Organization (RHDO) is a nongovernmental, non- religious, non-political, non-profit and non-military organization, working for development of Afghanistan through implementation of health, community development and capacity development/research projects  was established in February 2014 and is registered with the Ministry of Economics under registration No 3121.  is also registered in Ministry of Public health under registration # 504.  is registered in Ministry of Women affairs under registration # 751 aims to contribute to the development of Afghanistan through provision of developmental and humanitarian services in public health, training and capacity building of Afghans in healthcare disciplines and skills starts to realize its vision through implementable, context-specific, technically sound and practically achievable approaches. These approaches are: (1) to design and implement the community development programs; (2) to provide primary and secondary health services according to the standards of the MOPH; and (3) to build capacities and skills of ordinary Afghanistan residences and professional of health sector.

Job summary:

The Engagement Focal Point position is created for planning and implementation of program and project-related activities on provincial level, through coordination and engagement with local authorities on community level.

The inhabitant must have strong communication, context analysis, problem-solving and reporting skills and experience with different level of communities and authorities, on the field level and must follow Do not harm strategy. He/ She must have 6 years of relevant experience in solving access constraints and challenges, and fluency in Pashto/ Dari and English, both verbal and written. 

Job Description:

1- Engagement Focal point:

  • The engagement focal point will be responsible for coordination, communication with involved local authorities, stakeholders, community and donor for the smooth implementation of project activities on provincial level.
  • Having knowledge of project geographical regions, in the area of responsibility for visiting the communities and local authorities.
  • Respect the cultural sensitivities and familiarity with the people of their culture and their lifestyle in the covered area.
  • To ensure close communication and coordination with targeted communities and beneficiaries for a proper working environment.
  • Responsible to building a positive working relationship with key stakeholder associates, demonstrating high-level engagement skills orally and written.
  • Support project manager to increase the effective outreach of the potential community and use data to strategically support the program and determine where the direct attention is required.
  • Manage timely communication and facilitate sharing of ideas, reports and best practices via email, phone, or other means communication with management and donor.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness and share safety and security trends threats and reports with management and donor if needed, advice the team accordingly.
  • Any other duties as assigned by line manager

2- Data Management:

  • Design and implement efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
  • Develop and maintain databases for organizational use.
  • Conduct regular data backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Manage access controls and data-sharing policies in compliance with organizational standards.

3- IT Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff on IT-related issues.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and system security settings.
  • Ensure regular software updates and system maintenance.
  • Oversee IT asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement.

Job Requirements:

  • At least bachelor’s degree in social science, public health, Management, BBA and related fields.
  • At least 15 years of working experience with Communities.
  • Ability to speak fluently in Pashto, Dari and English
  • Public Speaking and Good Communication skill.
  • Candidate from Giyan district is preferred or from other districts from Paktika Province
  • Age 40-70
