About Rural Movement Organization (RMO):

Rural Movement Organization (RMO) is an Afghan NGO with Head Quarters in Kabul. It was established in 2014 as the continuation of the Belgian NGO "Solidarité Afghanistan Belgique" (SAB).
As a replacement of Solidarity Belgium Afghanistan (SAB), RMO has a long experience on implementing vocational training, agriculture, education, and emergency response projects. On top of it, RMO collaborated with and became a formal partner of Geres (www.geres.eu) for around 10 years, which enabled RMO to achieve an excellent experience and knowledge in the in-house energy efficiency environment protection, and climate change sectors. In the past 10 years, together with Geres, RMO implemented a number of medium to big size projects in Kabul, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, and Badakhshan Provinces. 
RMO operations include work on market-based solutions, developing value chains, as these create jobs and are often key to the sustainability of the solutions deployed. In both urban and rural settings, RMO has also contributed to technical improvements to the agriculture and vegetable production sector by building passive solar greenhouses, bioclimatic cellars, as well as AESS solutions, including trainings, toolkit, and marketing support to women beneficiaries.  

Project Overview: 
Support to Vulnerable Teachers through Food Distribution is a short-term project and was signed between RMO and an international NGO (AFRANE). The project aims are to distribute food packages to 950 teachers and school staff, benefiting approximately 5700 people in the Yakawlang district of Bamyan province.

Job Descriptions:

Under the supervision of the project manager, the district coordinator is in charge of the following tasks:  


    Design and develop an activity plan for the project activity.
    Review and read well-relevant documents of the project and make sure he/she is well updated about the project and its aim; 
    Survey/ Selection of project beneficiaries (vulnerable teachers) in coordination with the Department of Education.
    Selection of the distribution site in close coordination with the Directorate of Education Department.
    Final validation of the teachers' list receivedthe food items by department of education.
    Make sure the food item delivered by the company is in accordance to the sample mutually agreed between RMO and the supplier. 
    The district coordinator is in charge to receive, review and finalize beneficiaries list with department of Education and share with line manager final draft 
    To lead food items distribution as per final validated list (by department of Education, RMO and project donor) 
    The district coordinator leads the local team, manages their daily activities, makes them action plans
    The district coordinator support RMO logistic and purchase committee for quality purchase, transport, storing of food items 
    The district coordinator is the main in charge for follow up, reporting to local authorities, he should attend meetings, present the project and make smooth follow up
    To report any issue and challenge to line manager and lead challenge mitigation together with line manager and local team 
    Ensure appropriate coordination and communication between the project team,  school chancellors and other stakeholders at the district levels;
    Make sure the team members are well aware of security rules and regulations.
    Follow up security of field teams, inform the security in charge of any incident or risk;
    Ensures the information flow with the project and RMO management, and is able to take necessary measures according to the situation;
    To provide a timely progress report (daily and weekly basis) as per given format 
Perform any other related tasks assigned by project management.
 

Job Requirements:

    University degree, from a well-known national or international university in the related field;
    At least 2 years of experience in managing projects and teams 
    Ability to manage a team, experience in a conflict zone, and conflict management. 
    The capacity to handle multiple tasks at one time and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to a challenging environment,
    Knowledge of Institutions and donors’ rules and procedures; 
    Fluent in Dari, English, and Pashto is a plus;
    Excellent communication skills;
    Basic IT skills with knowledge of a computer, 
    Good reporting skills and synthesis abilities;
    Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
    Be adapted to a hard-working environment;
