The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and is a non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is registered with the Ministry of Economy in Kabul, Afghanistan (Registration No: 1014) and is a member of South West Afghanistan and Baluchistan Agency for Coordination (SWABAC), the coordinating body for NGOs in southern Afghanistan.
The Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for managing all financial, administrative, and logistical operations at the Daikundi provincial office. This position requires strong financial management skills, experience using QuickBooks accounting software, and the ability to ensure compliance with organizational donor and partner policies. The officer will also support day to day administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth implementation of field activities.
Maintain accurate daily financial records and ledgers in QuickBooks.
Prepare and record all vouchers, receipts, and payments in line with financial policies.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial transactions and supporting documents.
Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements for submission to the main office.
Manage petty cash and ensure cash control procedures are followed.
Support budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with donor and organizational financial regulations.
Liaise with banks, vendors, and service providers as necessary.
Oversee administrative functions such as procurement, inventory, and asset management.
Support human resource tasks including timesheets, leave tracking, and payroll processing support.
Manage office logistics including travel arrangements, vehicle use, and supply distribution.
Ensure the office environment is well maintained and operational needs are met.
Maintain records of contracts, leases, and agreements.
Coordination and Compliance:
Ensure all financial and administrative processes comply with Afghanistan labor laws and organizational policies.
Coordinate with provincial and Kabul office teams to support audits and donor reporting.
Represent the organization in meetings with local authorities or partners when needed.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
Understanding and using Microsoft office and Excel.
Language English, Pashto, Dari is required.
