War Child is an international alliance working in 15 countries. This is an international charity working for children and youth affected by war. War Child initiated working in Afghanistan from 2002. In Afghanistan War Child Work with children and youth, who as a result of conflict, live with a combination of poverty, exclusion, and insecurity. These children and youth might include street children, child headed households, children conscripted into armed groups, unaccompanied minors, youth returnees and refugees, and children who have been put in Juvenile Rehabilitation Center and, the children and youth impacted by the climate induced disasters. Our mission is to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children and youth caught up in conflict, poverty, and exclusion. Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to supervise the implementation of AHF Project Title: (Provision of immediate humanitarian assistance for the worsening drought in Afghanistan) in 2 provinces (Balkh and Jawzjan).
The project Coordinator will be responsible supporting the Grants/Sr. Program Manager with support and follow-up of the registration of the project and signing of the MoU with the sectorial Ministry, rendering strategic oversight and management of day-to-day delivery of the project, provincial level coordination, ensuring an effective work plan to facilitate timely delivery of the activities.
He will be responsible for efficient management of project resources and ensure timely communication with stakeholders and reporting to donor and will represent War Child UK to the cluster meetings at the provincial level. This role will be based in Balkh-Mazar-e-Sharif City with oversight covering Jawzjan province.
