Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing SAPO’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with UN financial regulations and experience in nonprofit financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UN and donor financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage payroll, banking, and disbursement processes.
• Assist in developing financial policies and procedures for SAPO.
• Monitor financial transactions to ensure proper use of funds.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure accurate and compliant financial audits.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all financial activities.
• Support project teams in financial management and budgeting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably with NGOs or international organizations.
• Strong familiarity with UN financial regulations and donor compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in English and local languages (Dari/Pashto).
