Job Descriptions:

 

  • Work as nutrition facilitators and nutrition technicians at the field level to manage their Nutrition activities.
  • Supervise the Nutrition team/Facilitators on a day-to-day field activities and program implementation.
  • Guide monitor and report on nutrition components progress solving their problems in the community district and province level. In case of technical assistance sharing all the related problems with the provincial supervisor.
  •  Collection and compilation of the data from field teams of each district to be shared on a weekly and monthly base with the program teams at provincial levels.
  • Follow up with the project team (facilitator/technicians) for achieving the weekly and monthly targets of screening and training.
  • Motivate Community Mobilization Teams in promoting nutrition activities in their respective villages.
  • Work with community elders Shura during project implementation explaining Nutrition related project activities.
  • Conduct monitoring and supervision visits of Households and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement of the program.
  • Regular field visits and communicate the findings with line manager regarding activities related to nutrition.
  • Work closely with the staff for achieving the weekly and monthly targets.
  • Work closely with the staff for nutrition data collection and ensure all the Nutrition data and reports are submitted on time with 100% accuracy.
  • To improve the nutrition needs of PLW (Pregnant & Lactating Women).
  • To decrease malnutrition of targeted population.
  • The Nutrition (BSFP) facilitator will be closely working with project team members, and is responsible for all nutrition activities and sensitizing the beneficiaries on the food allocation and nutrition (BSFP) to be distributed in Herat Province.
  • To oversee the implementation of project activities in nutrition (BSFP).

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Public Health, Nursing or Midwifery with experience in Nutrition and training activities.
  • 1-2 years of experience in health and nutrition project implementation and design.
  • Expert in community mobilization and coordination to increase community participation.
  • Experienced in designing behavior change communication (health) for improving the nutritional status of the child and childbearing age women.
  • Enthusiasm to travel to locations within a region – and to other regions for training sessions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local languages both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy computer literature
  • Self-motivated possessing persuasion skills ability to maintain relationship and able to work on own initiative.
