Teach For Afghanistan have operations in 4 provinces, Kabul, Parwan, Nangarhar and Laghman. We have been following one global model since 2016 and nothing has changed in our model since 2016. We have been recruiting and selecting promising university graduates and professionals from diverse backgrounds to serve as teachers in underserved schools and communities of Parwan, Nangarhar and Laghman.

Job Descriptions:

Position Overview:

The Marketing & Branding Officer will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of TAO’s online schools and studio management. This role will also oversee the organization’s social media and website management, ensuring cohesive and effective communication across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, branding, and digital communications, with a passion for education and social impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Design and implement marketing strategies to promote TAO’s online schools and studio management.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth and increased engagement.
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.

Brand Management:

  • Maintain and enhance the TAO brand image across all platforms.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all communications and materials.
  • Develop and implement branding guidelines and protocols.

Online School Management:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans specifically tailored to promote TAO’s online schooling programs.
  • Record all sessions for the online school, professionally edit and upload it to TAO website and social media sites.
  • Collaborate with the education team to highlight unique features and benefits of TAO’s online schools.
  • Create and distribute informative and engaging content to attract and retain students and their families.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives related to online schooling.

Studio Management:

  • Oversee the management and promotion of TAO’s educational studios.
  • Develop marketing strategies to increase the utilization and visibility of studio resources.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure the studios are equipped with up-to-date and relevant educational materials.

 

Social Media Management:

  • Oversee TAO’s social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
  • Develop social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive engagement.
  • Monitor social media metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
  • Visit TAO schools and offices to capture quality pictures and videos for marketing & outreach purposes.

Website Management:

  • Manage and update TAO’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly and up-to-date.
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve website traffic.
  • Analyze website analytics to measure effectiveness and guide improvements.

Content Creation:

  • Create compelling and informative content for various platforms, including blog posts, articles, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with the program and communications teams to produce engaging multimedia content.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the media.
  • Represent TAO at events and conferences to promote the organization and its initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Graphics, Designing, web management, Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, branding, and digital communications.
  • Experience working in the nonprofit sector.
  • Familiarity with educational programs and online learning platforms.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms and websites.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and commitment to TAO’s mission.
