Job Descriptions:

  • Conduct engaging and informative training sessions on Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition for nutrition counsellors, nutrition nurses, and health workers.
  • Utilize participatory training methods to encourage active involvement and discussion among participants.
  • Facilitate the role play methodology as a unique part of every topic.
  • Adapt existing MIYCN training materials to fit the local context and specific needs of the target audience/participants.
  • Develop supplementary resources and handouts to reinforce key messages related to nutrition practices.
  • Assist in the evaluation of training effectiveness through pre- and post-training assessments.
  • Gather feedback from participants to improve future training sessions and materials.
  • Document training activities, participant attendance, and feedback for reporting purposes.
  • Provide a summary report at the end of the training period outlining key achievements and recommendations for future interventions.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Diploma's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Medical Doctor, Nursing or Midwifery.
  • Years of Experience and Skills:
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experiences working in trainings designing and facilitating.
  • Experience in MIYCN training.
  • Have the ToT certificate of MIYCN
  • Fluency in local languages both Pashto, Dari
  • Familiar with the health system of Afghanistan.
  • Profound cross-cultural awareness and sound knowledge
  • Communication and reporting skills
  • Computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and internet) an advantage
  • Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background
