Overview:

The Dedicated Women Social Services Organization (DWSSO) is committed to providing comprehensive psychosocial support to women and girls affected by various natural disasters. This position is part of the "Empowering Resilience" project, which aims to address the mental health and psychosocial needs of the community in the aftermath of the disaster.

Objective of the Position:

The Clinical Psychologist/Counselor will be responsible for implementing the psychosocial support component of the project. This includes providing direct mental health services, facilitating group therapy sessions, and contributing to the overall mental well-being of the affected population, with a focus on women and girls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological assessments, individual counseling, and therapy to beneficiaries.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Facilitate group therapy and support sessions for beneficiaries, focusing on trauma, resilience, and coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and conduct psychosocial activities and workshops.
• Participate in community outreach to identify individuals in need of psychosocial support.
• Raise awareness about mental health and psychosocial services available within the community.
• Train and mentor community volunteers in basic psychological first aid and mental health awareness.
• Provide guidance to other staff members on integrating psychosocial support into their work.
• Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the psychosocial component of the project.
• Document cases, interventions, and outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Collaborate with other team members and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to beneficiary support.
• Participate in team meetings and coordination activities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
