Job Summary

He or she is required to follow this job description and complete her work in respect of the WAW rules and regulations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform physically CSC clients’ checkups on a daily basis.
  • Prescribe necessary meditation for clients who are sick.
  • Provide effective consultation to clients once a week or/and when needed.
  • Check and monitor bed rooms, sitting rooms, and the kitchen's hygiene on a daily basis.
  • Provide awareness to clients about contagious and serious illness.
  • Conduct health consultations about personal and environmental hygiene.
  • Presenting urgent health services to clients who face chronic and serious health problems.
  • Refer clients with serious problems to the hospital and follow up on their clinical diagnosis and treatment.
  • Submitting the health report of the CSC clients to the CSC supervisor and provincial manager.
  • Register all health reports in the book with regard to the client who is under treatment.
  • Check all medicines in the clinic of the children's support center, ensuring they are not expired or nearing expiration. Keep all medicines in a safe place out of direct sunlight and children's reach.
  • Providing first aid to clients when needed and training the caretaker how to handle first aid kits in the CSC facility.
  • Perform any other duty in the scope of the JD per needs or/and when asked for it.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly performance report to the line manager.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Holder of an MD degree from a recognized medical university, preferably with a children's specialization.
  • At least 5 years’ clinical experience as a medical doctor/physician treating mainly children's illnesses.
  • Skills in providing medical counselling and advice to patients.
  • Knowledge of child rights is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with people in distress.
  • The ability to collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Empathy and person-centered approach to clients.
  • Strong understanding of the profession and the role of a psychologist.
  • Able to work overtime on weekends or holidays required by the supervisor or program.
  • Required to be adaptable for larger tasks not specified in this framework.
