VDO is an independent, non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization established in January 07, 2015. The organization is composed with a strong and committed team to respond to the needs of Afghanistan. VDO’s special concentration on project implementation is impactcentered approach and VDO ‘s team is committed to work for the welfare and progress of society and the vulnerable people. VDO ‘s efforts focus on changing mentalities and attitudes about women’s participation and contribution in the society. Not only, it also focuses on economic development, advocacy, research and girl’s education.
Review and verify financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and supported by relevant records.
Manage the disbursement of payments to provinces and Kabul, including processing payroll for staff and payments to vendors and suppliers.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of payments in accordance with approved budgets and financial policies.
Coordinate with provincial offices to manage financial clearances, ensuring that all transactions are reconciled and accounted for.
Support provincial finance teams in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to financial documentation.
Process payroll for all staff members, ensuring accuracy in calculations and timely disbursement. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements.
Monitor and execute internal budgets for projects, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budget lines. Collaborate with project managers to track budget performance and make adjustments as necessary.
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to the Finance Manager/Director, including updates on budget status, payment disbursements, and any financial discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as required by management or donors.
Ensure that all financial operations comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Education & Experience:
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an NGO or project-based environment.
Strong understanding of financial processes, including payment disbursement, payroll processing, and budget management.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, with strong Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Language Proficiency:
Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
