About the Organization:

HISTORY

Global Partners is an international Non Government Organization (NGO) based in the United Kingdom that carries out humanitarian projects worldwide. Global Partners was formed in 1991 with the objectives of advancing education and relieving poverty.

WHERE WE WORK

Global Partners has been involved in relief work in more than 20 countries around the world and has continuing development projects in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, to identify and evaluate the greatest needs of the people we serve. Alongside local partners, we attempt to eliminate obstacles and elevate the abilities and success of communities.

FUNDING

Global Partners maintains a broad base of donors and receives funding from:

• Government donors
• Corporations
• Foundations
• Charitable groups
• Businesses
• Private individuals

Global Partners never solicits funds from countries in which Global Partners is working.  Global Partners (UK) is a registered British charity (1009755) and welcomes funding from all sources, provided such funding falls within the stated objectives of advancing education and relieving poverty.

WHAT WE DO:

Global Partners works in the areas of community development, education and training, health improvement, emergency relief, and refugee assistance.

• Provide information and education to patients about health issues, hygiene practices, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Organize and participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about health, sanitation, and hygiene.
• Create or distribute educational materials, such as brochures, posters, and handouts, that promote good hygiene practices and health information.
• Facilitate training sessions or workshops for staff and patients on topics related to health promotion and hygiene.
• Encourage individuals to adopt healthier behaviors by providing support, resources, and motivation.
• Participate in public health responses during outbreaks or emergencies by disseminating information on hygiene practices to prevent disease spread.
• Maintain accurate records of educational activities, community outreach efforts, and patient interactions related to health promotion.
• Other duties/responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

• At least 12^th grade graduate. Graduation from a medical institute (Midwifery or Nursing) is an advantage.
• Bachelor Degree in Public Health is highly desirable.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in same position with NGOs/INGOs.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Working knowledge of English is desirable.
• Experience with using Ms. Office is desirable.
