Job Summary

The  Research Scholar in Technology will be responsible for identifying, researching, and analysing emerging technologies and trends to enhance national security, strengthen cybersecurity, and foster innovation. The role involves conducting in-depth research, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing actionable insights to guide technological advancements that align with national interests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Research & Analysis
   • Identify global trends in emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, quantum computing, and advanced encryption.
   • Conduct research on technological solutions & critical infrastructure protection.
   • Assess the potential risks and benefits of new technologies.
   • Investigate advanced cybersecurity threats targeting mobile applications, cloud systems, and data centers
2. Innovation Strategy Development
   • Develop frameworks for implementing innovative technologies across government.
   • Provide recommendations on adopting new technologies to enhance security.
   • Research and propose solutions for securing communication systems and digital infrastructure.
3. Cybersecurity Solutions
   • Investigate cybersecurity innovations to address potential threats such as cyberattacks, espionage, and disinformation.
   • Collaborate with security teams to evaluate and implement advanced defense mechanisms.
   • Investigate secure integration techniques for chat applications with data center systems.
4. Collaboration and Partnership Development
   • Collaborate with national and international research institutions, universities, and think tanks to share insights and stay updated on cutting-edge research.
   • Establish partnerships with key stakeholders to foster research and development programs.
5. Policy Research & Recommendations
   • Research global best practices in technology governance, data privacy, and security.
   • Draft policy recommendations for the adoption of new technologies and regulations to enhance national security.
6. Threat Intelligence and Innovation Monitoring
   • Monitor global innovations and threat landscapes, providing regular reports on advancements that could impact national security.
   • Research ways to leverage technology for intelligence gathering, data analysis, and predictive threat modelling.
7. Prototyping & Testing
   • Lead research projects for developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for emerging technological solutions.
   • Oversee testing and evaluation of new systems to assess their feasibility for national defense.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education:  Master in Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years in research roles related to  emerging technologies
  • Proven experience conducting research on complex technical topics and drafting detailed reports.

 Key Skills

• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, blockchain, etc.).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles,data  encryption and decreption.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights.
• Proficient in technical writing and presentation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
