CBNI Project Manager Will acts as an active member of Program attends relevant meetings, contribute to the program technical activities and provides back- up supports to other staff members of different departments as needed. In addition, CBNI Project Manager under direct supervision of Program Development Manager is responsible to control and follow up all technical departments including CBNI, HMIS and nutrition activities, strengthening the CBNI and HMIS recording and reporting system, improving the skill of the staff involved in MIS and keeps close co-operation and relationship with UNICEF and MoPH related department as well as the society through various channels.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follows RHDO's policies, procedures and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative works/ performance.
  • Act according to the policy of RHDO and keep confidential with issues related to RHDO.
  • Collaborate with a cooperative attitude to ensure the integration of CBNI activities with BPHS activities, aligning with national standards at health facilities and posts at both district and provincial levels.
  • Develop short-term implementation plans (Monthly and Weekly) according to CBNI project work plan in Paktika Province.
  • Assist the CBNP master trainers in follow up of community mobilization sessions and make sure all planned trainings were conducted in due time.
  • Attend nutrition cluster, UNICEF, regional, PHCC and other provincial level meeting related to CBNI project in Paktika province.
  • Conducting regular monitoring from the project activities and giving feedbacks to ensure smooth implementation of CBNI project in Paktika province.
  • Provide support and advice to the operational team to strictly follow transparency at CBNI project of Paktika province.  
  • To develop and maintain relation with provincial nutrition referral centers and BPHS health facilities and communities to refer SAM cases.
  • Report technical and non-technical problem within the project implementation to RHDO main office and make logical suggestion for the improvement of the program.
  • Collect accurate activity data for the project on a bi-weekly and monthly basis, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports. Additionally, prepare presentations on the CBNI project for PHCC meetings and share them with the main office of the Relief Humanitarian Development Organization.
  • Conduct regular follow up of Paktika CBNI projects technical activities to ensure proper implementation, providing supervision, monitoring, and offering corrective feedback as needed.
  • Handles and coordinates all the Nutrition, and CBHC related issues/activities of the project at the regional and provincial level.
  • Ensures that Monthly Update and Quarterly Performance Reports of Paktika CBNI and updated in good quality and submitted to Program Development manager in a timely manner.
  • Ensures PIP is developed after each Quarterly Performance Review meeting and are being implemented through both project sites.
  • Actively participates in meetings / workshops and Task force /working groups conducted at provincial level of UNICEF, PPHD and DoEC.
  • Provide accurate and updated feedback on data collection to the clinics and produce HMIS monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.

Job Requirements:

  • MD degree from recognize university, MPH or diploma in Public health nutrition is preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the field of project implementation, CBNP, BPHS and nutrition projects. (TOT on CBNP project and experienced will be essential for shortlisting).
  • Have a good computer skills especially office package (MS. Word, Power point and Excel) and strong communication, presentation and report writing skills.
