About NSRDO:

NSRDO is a youth-led organization founded in 2006, dedicated to empowering marginalized women, children, and people with disabilities across Afghanistan. We focus on uplifting vulnerable communities by addressing critical issues such as poverty, education, WASH, healthcare, and sustainable development. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves a fair chance at a better future, we work tirelessly to provide resources, support, and hope to those in need.

We also work in food & security, agriculture, emergency relief, nutrition, peacebuilding, livelihood, community infrastructure, and the defense of human rights. NSRDO commenced its operations in 2005. Since then, NSRDO has been operating in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan and has regional offices in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Kunduz, Bamyan, and Paktia Provinces, along with its head office in Kabul.
NSRDO was registered in the Ministry of Planning by decision no. (951) dated 25/6/1383 and entitled to work in the capital, Kabul, and other provinces. This is also reregistered in the Ministry of Economy by decision no. (598) dated 8/6/06. Additionally, the US Embassy, the European Commission, the Canadian Fund, UNPP, UNGM, MoLSA, MoMD, MoE, and MoPH all have NSRDO registered.

NSRDO operates solely in Afghanistan, aiming to transform itself into one of Afghanistan’s most developed NGOs. Although it continues to respond to the needs of rural communities in order to improve their living conditions and utilize the resource in a well and transparent manner. NSRDO endeavors to reach the most disadvantaged groups in Afghan society, often under very difficult circumstances. Job Descriptions:

The M&E Officer will facilitate the design, implementation, and management of monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring comprehensive tracking of program outcomes, results, and overall impact.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement M&E tools, frameworks, and methodologies that align with project objectives.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data from diverse sources to evaluate project progress and performance.
  • Support the design and administration of surveys, focus groups, and other data collection methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing regular M&E reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of donor reports, progress updates, and case studies.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data, along with the timely submission of M&E reports.
  • Build the capacity of program staff in M&E concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with program teams to leverage M&E findings for informed decision-making and program enhancement.
  • Support baseline, mid-term, and end-line evaluations.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases and documentation of M&E activities.
  • Participate in field visits and program reviews to validate data and assess project implementation.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within development or humanitarian contexts.
  • Strong competencies in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in M&E software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, KoboToolbox, DHIS2).
  • Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
