About Afghan Women Rights Organization (AWRO):

Afghan Women Rights Organization (AWRO) is a national, non-profit, non-political organization working to promote the rights and well-being of Afghan vulnerable populations through initiatives in livelihoods, health, nutrition, education, and humanitarian responses. AWRO has successfully implemented multiple humanitarian projects across Afghanistan, with a strong focus on community engagement, inclusion, and sustainability.

TOR:

CHWs will perform the following duties under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant and Project Manager, including but not limited to:

• Conduct community mobilization activities to raise awareness and encourage participation in health and nutrition services.
• Identify and select eligible beneficiaries in collaboration with local leaders and project staff, based on predefined criteria.
• Support the community in accessing cash assistance and healthcare services, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
• Collect relevant data from the community, including health and nutrition indicators.
• Maintain accurate records, beneficiary lists, and documentation of services delivered.
• Assist in filing and organizing project documents at the field level.
• Support implementation of health interventions, including:
• BPHS services
• PSS and mental health support
• Vaccination campaigns
• Family MUAC measurement and tracking
• Reproductive health services
• Malnutrition screening and referral for children under five and PLWs
• Management and referral of OTP cases

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, Law, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or high school diploma with additional two years of experience At least 2 years of Nutrition and Health Officer experience in NGO or humanitarian projects
• Good data collection and analysis skills
• Familiarity with Badakhsan province is preferred
• Good knowledge of Excel and mobile data collection tools
