Job Descriptions:

General:

  • Assist program line managers, supervisors and program officers in the planning and implementing of program.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly report of project activities to Program Director.
  • Responsible for project proposal and project expanses based on the project budget line.
  • Follow RI policies, procedures and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative works/ performance.
  • Participate in coordination meeting with UN, NGOs and government agencies on provincial level.
  • Identify and make decision to solve immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives and provide report to his/her immediate supervisor.
  • Supervisory Tasks:
  • Meet all key project staff to discuss program progress and problems on a weekly base.
  • Work closely with technical and admin./ finance managers in the development of BPHS and EPHS program.
  • Assist technical and admin./ finance managers in the planning and implementing of program.
  • Evaluate and supervise the performance of the key staff after each 3 months

Technical Tasks:

  • Responsible for the planning, implementing, and supervision of all project activities both PHC and SHC.
  • Monitor and supervise progress of programs.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly report of program activities to Program Director.
  • Meet weekly basis with the PPHD and program director to report the program progress.
  • Tasks of Relations with External Agencies and Organization Bodies:
  • Participate in Coordination meeting with MoPH, UN and other NGOs.
  • Participate in PHCC meeting.
  • Participation PDC and other provincial and regional level meeting

Job Requirements:

  • Essential criteria

  • Medical Doctor with a Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience managing large-scale health programs in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Proven ability in project management, supervision, team leadership, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BPHS/EPHS standards and coordination with MoPH structures.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English and Pashto and/or Dari.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in challenging environments.
  • Proven track record of upholding humanitarian principles and actively engaging vulnerable communities.
  • Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience with Relief International or in similar fragile and conflict-affected settings.
  • Experience working with UN agencies and health cluster mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with digital health tools and data management platforms.
