About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):
YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Objective of the Position

The Integration Assistant will support the social and economic reintegration of graduated vocational program clients in their respective province by:

• Facilitating job placements with local businesses and employers.
• Linking clients with business opportunities or companies seeking skilled workers.
• Assisting clients in starting small businesses through market research and resource connections.
• Promoting clients’ vocational skills within local markets.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify local employers and businesses in the respective province that align with clients’ vocational skills (e.g., tailoring, carpentry, mechanics).
• Assist graduated clients in preparing resumes, practicing interview skills, and applying for jobs.
• Conduct outreach to local markets and businesses to promote the skills of graduated clients.
• Facilitate connections between clients and local suppliers, microfinance institutions, or tool providers.
• Monitor and follow up with placed clients to ensure job retention or business sustainability.
• Report weekly to the Integration Officer in Kabul on activities, challenges, and outcomes in the province.
• Participate in training or capacity-building sessions organized by YHDO.
• Ensure gender-sensitive approaches to support female graduates in accessing opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or job placement.
• Familiarity with the local market and employment landscape in the respective province.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dari/Pashto; basic English is an asset.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.) for reporting and documentation.
• Resident of the respective province (Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, Kandahar, or Farah).
