About TACT - Today's Afghanistan Conciliation Trust:

Today’s Afghanistan Conciliation Trust (TACT) is an impartial non-profit national NGO/CSO that is free from linguistic, ethnic, tribal, religious, and political affiliations and prejudices. TACT was founded in 2010 by a group of professional and intellectual Afghans who devoted most of their time to serving the Afghan people in the contexts of education, healthcare, and humanitarian assistance in the country.

TACT is to implement the Provision of essential psycho-social and well-being services for returnees and displaced children and women in 4 targeted districts of Logar and Paktika provinces.

Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The Child Protection Case Worker is responsible for providing direct support and intervention to vulnerable children and their families. The role involves assessing child safety, developing case plans, coordinating services, and ensuring the well-being and protection of children following legal and organizational policies.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Guiding children and their families through the entire case management process, encompassing identification and registration, assessment, case planning, implementation, follow-up and review, and case closure, as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Providing psychosocial and emotional support to children and families throughout the case management cycle.
  • Conducting safe and appropriate referrals to essential services, ensuring follow-up to confirm that services respond effectively to the needs identified during assessment.
  • Engaging with community members, service providers and government stakeholders to identify at-risk children and facilitate safe referrals.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date service mapping for the designated geographical area.
  • Participating in inter-agency case conferences, including case presentations and sharing challenges.
  • Attending regular case management meetings with the team.
  • Adhering to the Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding Policy, and Code of Conduct.
  • Providing constructive feedback on documentation and contributing to the design of future programs.
  • Monitoring and assessing the safety and security of field teams consistently and proactively, reporting concerns or incidents promptly to management.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Bachelor’s Degree in Law, social sciences, or another related field.
  • Have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant professional experience with NNGOs and INGOs.
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated skills in child protection, including SOPs and guidelines on case management.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Have experience working effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
