Today’s Afghanistan Conciliation Trust (TACT) is an impartial non-profit national NGO/CSO that is free from linguistic, ethnic, tribal, religious, and political affiliations and prejudices. TACT was founded in 2010 by a group of professional and intellectual Afghans who devoted most of their time to serving the Afghan people in the contexts of education, healthcare, and humanitarian assistance in the country.

TACT is to implement the Provision of essential psycho-social and well-being services for returnees and displaced children and women in 4 targeted districts of Logar and Paktika provinces.

Job Summary:

The CP Case Management Supervisor will oversee the implementation of case management activities across various communities and districts, ensuring quality delivery through effective supervision, mentoring, and coordination. The role emphasizes adherence to child protection standards, best practices, and donor regulations, aiming to promote children's rights and well-being.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the functionality of the case management system and oversee the delivery of high-quality case management in accordance with SOPs, global child protection standards, and donor regulations.
  • Support, guide, and supervise case management teams, including caseworkers and community mobilizers, to ensure adherence to child protection principles, quality standards, and timely case handling.
  • Organize and facilitate capacity-building activities, such as training sessions for Community PSS volunteers and Community CPiE ToTs, utilizing pre-prepared materials.
  • Support the identification, assessment, documentation, referral, and follow-up of at-risk children and families, ensuring proper case documentation (files, registers, data entry) while respecting confidentiality and data protection protocols.
  • Oversee and ensure timely response and follow-up of child protection cases through regular case reviews, conferences, and supervision, flagging challenges early and coordinating solutions.
  • Link caseworkers and community mobilizers with relevant service providers to strengthen referral systems and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Work closely with the community and other team members to enhance community engagement and strengthen links between case management and community-based child protection mechanisms.
  • Organize weekly case management reviews with teams to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Document success stories, best practices, and lessons learned; share insights with the project team to inform program improvements and donor reports.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, current, and comprehensive case management reports; support related procurement and administrative processes.
  • Ensure all activities prioritize children’s safety, well-being, and rights, maintaining core child protection commitments at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • Have a valid Bachelor’s Degree in a Diploma in Law, Development studies, social sciences, or a relevant field.
  • Have a minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in the case management field, preferably in NGOs.
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated skills in applying inter-agency child protection minimum standards, including SOPs and guidelines on case management
  • Ability to develop the capacity of caseworkers and community-based child protection structures to deliver quality case management services for children and their families at risk
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
