Job Description

We are seeking a Treasury Officer to manage daily cash flow operations, monitor liquidity positions, and execute foreign exchange transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing cash flow forecasts, maintaining relationships with banks and money exchangers, and supporting treasury policy development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, minimum 3 years of treasury experience, and strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and treasury management systems. This position reports to the Finance Manager and requires high integrity with commitment to compliance and risk management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash flow operations, ensuring adequate liquidity is available for the institution’s obligations.
• Monitor inflows and outflows from settlement accounts, main accounts, and cash reserves.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts and provide variance analysis.
• Support funding and investment activities in line with the institution’s treasury and liquidity policies.
• Execute foreign exchange and money market transactions as instructed by the Line Manager.
• Collect and analyze market currency exchange rates, distribute daily opening and closing rates to branches, and provide timely (daily/hourly) updates on exchange rate fluctuations.
• Liquidity Management.
• Ensure compliance with the central bank’s (DAB) liquidity, reserve, and capital adequacy requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all treasury transactions and reconcile treasury accounts with Finance/Operations.
• Liaise with relationship banks, payment partners, and internal departments on treasury-related matters.
• Assist in the development and review of treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide timely treasury-related reports (e.g., liquidity position, FX exposure, funding gaps) to management.
• Ensure segregation of duties in treasury functions to reduce operational and fraud risks.
• Identifying and mitigating risk management.
• Building relationship with Local Money Exchangers, Banks, Corporates and other organizations for currency exchange and remittance deals.
• Stay updated on market developments (FX rates, liquidity trends) and provide input for decision-making.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Experience

• At least 3 years’ related experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cash flow management, liquidity requirements, and financial institution’s operations.
• Practical knowledge and experience of currency exchange deals in the market.
• Proficiency in accounting/treasury management systems and MS Excel.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• High integrity and commitment to compliance and risk management.
