Job Summary:

 

The Community Mobilizer is reportable to the Master Trainer/ Edu Officer, and the following items are the main responsibilities of a Community Mobilizer:

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Monitoring classes regularly.
  • Monitoring the teacher's teaching process regularly.
  • Cooperation with teachers in making local teaching materials, lesson plans, and Student hygiene, in the management of class and school, and the Physical environment of the classroom.
  • Checking education materials sent through the logistics unit and reporting to related units.
  • Controlling of Attendance of Teachers and students.
  • Taking part in SMS meetings monthly.
  • Encouragement of SMS members to participate in school management, security of the school, cooperation in students’ attendance, and cooperation in school building and construction.
  • Jointly visiting with DED members from TLS classes.
  • Conducting training if needed.
  • Follow up on ASAS numbers for newly enrolled students.
  • Follow up on student results.
  • Follow-up on handover, integration, and upgrading classes.
  • Follow up on findings of the Land for school construction.
  • Monitoring of related Hub schools and Resource centers.
  • Taking part in education training if needed and facilitating some training for teachers and SMS members.
  • Evaluation of the quality of learning of students.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and members for collaboration.
  • Conduct orientation or training sessions for teachers if needed
  • Conducting and facilitating follow-up meetings with community influential people and networks within the communities.
  • Provide information about the availability and utilization of services to communities.
  • Distribute educational materials and facilitate community-based training sessions.
  • Report any obstacles to the project activities.
  • Collect feedback and complaints from community members through various channels
  • Ensure all data is handled confidentially and follows organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to address and resolve complaints.
  • Communicate resolutions back to the community members promptly.
  • Ensure local coordination and collaboration with the key actor(s) such as the de facto authority, CSOs, and others.
  • Prepare activity report according to the established format and submit it to his/her supervisor.
  • And other related tasks are given by the related line manager or Education Officer/ Master Trainer.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or any other related field and 14 Grade graduate.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in similar positions with national and/or international NGOs.
  • Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Good in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.  
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of social and behavior change theories and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in community engagement and participatory approaches.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Travel  The position will be based in the province, and residents of related districts are encouraged to apply for this position with frequent travel to the districts.
