Faradata Social Change and Women Empowerment Organization (FSCWEO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established on 20 July 2020 in Afghanistan. FSCWEO works to promote social change, empower women and youth, and support vulnerable communities through programs in education, health, WASH, livelihoods, human rights, and humanitarian assistance. With active offices in Kandahar, Herat, Helmand, Farah, and Nimruz, the organization aims to build an Afghanistan where all people—regardless of gender, ethnicity, or religion—live in dignity and equality.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will perform the following tasks:
1. Financial Management & Accounting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process payments, receipts, and journal entries in compliance with financial policies.
Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
2. Budgeting & Reporting
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.
Support project teams in financial planning and cost monitoring.
3. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and local laws.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
4. Cash & Bank Management
Monitor bank accounts and reconcile statements.
Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
5. Coordination & Support
Work closely with program and administration teams to ensure financial efficiency.
Provide financial guidance to project staff.
Support capacity building of junior finance staff when required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably with NGOs or international organizations.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and donor regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
