Summary:

The HR Officer manages human resource functions related to education projects, including recruitment, staff onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies and labor laws while supporting the development and welfare of education staff. The HR Officer collaborates with program managers to address staffing needs and maintain a motivated, efficient workforce.

Job Description:

  • Manage recruitment processes including job posting, screening, interviewing, and hiring education staff. 
  • Coordinate staff onboarding, orientation, and induction programs. 
  • Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files. 
  • Support performance appraisal processes and staff development initiatives. 
  • Handle employee relations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution. 
  • Ensure compliance with organizational HR policies and local labor laws. 
  • Facilitate training and capacity-building activities for education staff. 
  • Coordinate attendance tracking, leave management, and payroll support. Assist in developing HR reports and documentation for management and donors. 
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment respecting diversity and gender equality.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or public administration with specialization in the field of Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 3-5years of experience in the field of human resources.
  • Ability to work with management to assess complex issues pragmatically.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, analyze situations and make decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal English and local language skills.
  • Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
