Job Descriptions:

The Senior Protection Officer will lead and oversee protection, prevention and response activities within the program, ensuring quality service delivery, compliance with international standards, and effective coordination with partners and stakeholders. The role includes supervising protection, prevention and response staff, providing technical guidance, conducting capacity-building activities, and ensuring that survivors and other vulnerable individuals receive timely, confidential, and survivor-centered support. The officer will also contribute to program design, monitoring, reporting, and advocacy efforts to strengthen protection systems, promote gender equality, and improve community resilience.

The Case Management Worker responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead and oversee protection, prevention and response activities, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, national laws, and international standards.
  • Conduct all steps of the case management process for individual children vulnerable to violence, abuse, exploitation, neglect and their families.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to protection staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, local organizations, UN agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen protection systems and response mechanisms.
  • Ensure the implementation of survivor-centered approaches, including safe and confidential referral pathways for survivors and other vulnerable groups.
  • Conduct capacity-building sessions, trainings, and awareness-raising activities for staff, partners, and communities on protection issues.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on protection activities, including data collection, analysis, and submission of timely reports to management and donors.
  • Support program planning, strategy development, and advocacy initiatives to address protection gaps and promote gender equality.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and safety measures in all protection interventions.
  • Perform any other task/s assigned by the supervisor or Senior Project Coordinator.

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Law, Political Science, Human Rights, Gender Studies, Psychology or another relevant technical field.
  • Master’s degree will be considered a plus point.

Experience:

  • At least 4 Years of work experience preferably with INGOs or INGOs in Protection including direct work with local communities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable children and families, including conducting assessments, case identification, and providing referrals.
  • Previous experience in community engagement, awareness campaigns, and mobilization activities.
  • Experience working in coordination with relevant stakeholders’ local authorities, and humanitarian organizations is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills including reporting writing.
  • Good knowledge of community development especially working with children, women and families.
  • Excellent problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meeting of deadlines.
  • Culture sensitive and respect for local norms.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of the cases.
  • Willingness to travel and stay in remote areas and inhospitable environment.
