Job Descriptions:

The M&E Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a monitoring and evaluation system to track project performance and impact. This role ensures data-driven decision-making, quality assurance, and accountability by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data across project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the  program team in collecting the training supportive documents.
  • Assist program team in overseeing the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems and tools in the field.
  • Communicate with program team and other relevant departments of WEARO for timely collection of data and supporting documents.
  • Establish a functioning and effective monitoring and Evaluation Unit with the M&E frameworks of project(s), programs of the organization.
  • Keeping accurate files so that data can be assessed and audited at different levels of the program implementation;
  • Keep a track (list) of the organization programs and projects up to date
  • Summarize the data collected from the field and assemble the data in to tables and graphs.
  • Disseminate M&E findings internally and externally advised by WEARO senior management.
  • Works with the program team in verifying and cross-checking of the WEARO training supportive documents verses  project documents and database records.
  • Maintain a proper and up to date M&E soft and hard filling system.
  • Should be familiar in conducting interviews and survey data collection activities (surveys, assessments, monitoring, evaluations, etc.)
  • Applied knowledge of monitoring and evaluation design as well as the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, particularly in the field of trainings.
  • Develop working relationships with all units, departments and other stakeholders where appropriate to establish a shared vision of the projects/programs and achieve objectives
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and commitment for the Job.
  • Well organized, able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision but skillful in collaborating and coordinating with other program staff and partners.
  • Undertake any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with M&E software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, KoboToolbox, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
