Job Brief:
The Proposal Writer is responsible for developing high-quality proposals by defining the concept, gathering and organizing information, drafting documents, and obtaining necessary approvals. The role spans multiple industries, producing clear, concise documents that recommend a course of action or solution. Strong writing skills, attention to grammar and context, and the ability to communicate ideas succinctly are essential. The ideal candidate can meet tight deadlines, stay organized, and efficiently convey complex information.
Responsibilites:
This role will lead the development of high-quality proposals for international and institutional contracts. Key responsibilities include:
1. Prepare and submit professional, compliant, and persuasive proposals aimed at successfully winning international and institutional contracts.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and potential contracting partners.
3. Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and tender documents to identify opportunities.
4. Establish priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approvals to meet submission deadlines.
5. Gather required technical, financial, and operational information from internal teams to ensure accurate and complete proposals.
6. Develop proposal content including project objectives, deliverables, implementation plans, staffing, budgets, and evaluation metrics.
7. Revise and edit drafts for clarity, consistency, grammar, and professional presentation.
8. Maintain proposal templates, compliance matrices, and submission records to ensure high-quality standards.
9. Obtain internal approvals and coordinate with management for final submission.
10. Continuously improve proposal processes and tools, incorporating lessons learned from previous submissions.
11. Stay updated on industry trends, international contracting standards, and client requirements.
12. Take ownership of assigned proposals and explore opportunities to enhance OKS Group Logistics’ success in securing contracts.
Candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Proven experience as a proposal writer or similar role, preferably for international or institutional contracts.
2. Minimum Master’s degree preferred (Bachelor’s with extensive experience may be considered).
3. Strong understanding of business operations such as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Procurement.
4. Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development.
5. Experience in preparing proposals or securing contracts with international clients, institutions, or corporate partners.
6. Working knowledge of data analysis, operational metrics, and performance indicators.
7. Proficient in IT systems, office automation tools, and business software for document preparation and project tracking.
8. Excellent command of English (written and spoken) for drafting, editing, and client communications.
9. Strong skills in presentation, technical documentation, layout design, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines.
10. Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
11. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
12. Strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude, with integrity and commitment to OKS Group Logistics’ mission.
