Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO), an Afghan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operates in Afghanistan since 2008.  ADWSO’s priority sector areas are Women Empowerment, Livelihood Support, Vocational Training, Child Protection, Capacity Building and Rule of Law.

ADWSO plans to submit a proposal to UN Women for an upcoming project focused on strengthening the capacity of Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) in market opportunities and access to finance.

As part of the proposal preparation process, ADWSO is collecting CVs of qualified professionals to be considered for the position of Marketing Expert, subject to project award and donor approval. This announcement does not constitute a job offer.

Position Summary

The Marketing Expert will support women entrepreneurs through the delivery of practical training and coaching on marketing, branding, and digital promotion. The role will contribute to improving the visibility, customer reach, and market positioning of Women-Owned Businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver marketing and branding trainings for women-owned businesses
• Provide coaching on digital marketing, social media use, and product presentation
• Support participants in developing basic marketing and promotion plans
• Contribute to the design and adaptation of marketing training materials
• Coordinate closely with the Team Leader and other technical experts
• Ensure participatory, gender-responsive, and context-appropriate training delivery
• Support documentation of activities, lessons learned, and success stories

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in marketing or business management with marketing focus OR
  master’s degree in marketing or business management with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• At least two (2) similar assignments in marketing training or coaching for micro, small, or medium enterprises
• Proven experience in digital marketing, branding, and business promotion
• Experience working with women entrepreneurs is highly desirable
• Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills
• Fluency in Dari is required; English proficiency is an asset
