The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization and is non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is operating since 2007 in the country with active membership with the national clusters and international donor agencies in Afghanistan including SWABAC, ACBAR, AICS, BAAG, AWN and most of the national and international Clusters operates based in Afghanistan.
Job Purpose
The Health Technical Project Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership, quality assurance, and day-to-day management of Organization of Human Welfare (OHW)’s Health and Nutrition projects, with a strong focus on Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) implementation.
The position ensures that health and nutrition interventions are technically sound, compliant with national and donor requirements, evidence-based, and effectively implemented across targeted provinces. The role supports project design, monitoring, reporting, coordination, and capacity strengthening to ensure high-quality primary health care and nutrition services aligned with MoPH policies, humanitarian standards, and OHW strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities;

Ensure community feedback and complaints are documented, reviewed, and integrated into project improvements.
Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or a closely related health discipline (required).
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in health and nutrition programming in humanitarian and/or development contexts.
Proven experience managing or technically supporting BPHS or primary health care programs.
Strong background in RMNCH, nutrition, health systems strengthening, and public health interventions.
Demonstrated experience in proposal development, donor reporting, and grants compliance.
Experience in capacity building, supervision, and team leadership.
Strong experience working with government health authorities and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory and knowledge of both national language Dari and Pashto is a strong advantage.
