Back Up Vaccinator

Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

    •  Administer vaccines to children, adults, and other target populations according to national immunization guidelines.
    •    Maintain vaccine cold chain and ensure proper storage and handling of vaccines.
    •    Screen patients for contraindications and provide pre- and post-vaccination counseling.
    •    Record and maintain accurate immunization records and vaccination logs.
    •    Monitor patients for adverse reactions and take immediate action if needed.
    •    Support vaccination campaigns, outreach programs, and routine immunization sessions.
    •    Collaborate with healthcare teams, including nurses, midwives, and doctors, to ensure smooth immunization services.
    •    Follow infection control procedures and standard safety protocols.
    •    Be available on-call to cover emergency vaccination sessions or staff absences.

    •   Certificate/Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, or Medical Assistant program from a recognized institution.
    •    Certification in immunization and vaccine administration is required.
    •    Minimum 1–2 years experience in vaccination programs, public health, or clinical settings.
    •    Proficient in safe vaccine administration techniques.
    •    Knowledge of vaccine storage, cold chain maintenance, and immunization protocols.
    •    Good communication and patient counseling skills.
